Hippy Friday!

In lieu of all the craziness that Black Friday brings upon the masses searching for that "good deal," my son and I decided to visit our local botanical gardens today. Instead of battling possessed shoppers, we walked to the gardens and enjoyed a fun and peaceful afternoon.

We would much rather support a local organization than cheap products made in China. During this holiday season, I have reminded my son that buying goods from local merchants (such as local artists and farmers' markets) not only helps sustain our local economy but also our Earth. It's something to think about.
Besides, don't we have enough stuff?
